What is Provider Pay?
With Provider Pay, your health practitioners can submit claims and receive payment directly from your benefit plan provider.
Claims are processed immediately; meaning that, if your plan allows, you can claim drugs, dental, or health services the same time you receive them.
Use Provider Pay for
Acupuncturists
Chiropractors
Chiropodists
Massage Therapists
Naturopaths
Opticians
Optometrists
Physiotherapists
Podiatrists
Psychologists
Reasonable and customary limits will apply.
Provider Pay may not be available at some pharmacies, dentists, and health practitioners if your plan includes certain terms and conditions or a reimbursement arrangement; refer to your benefits booklet or consult your Plan Administrator for more information.
Submitting a claim
When your practitioner asks you for your plan information, simply present your benefits card. Eligible practitioners will submit the claim for you and receive payment immediately from your provider.
This removes the need for fund reimbursement when you submit a claim yourself, as you are only paying out of pocket for costs not covered by your plan.
Is my practitioner eligible?
Practitioners on the Telus eClaims network are eligible for Provider Pay. If not, you can submit your claim through your claims platform.
Check to see whether they are listed on the Telus eClaims network.
